DigiPippi is a digital and social community for girls between the ages of 7 and 13 who would like to learn about technology, IT and digital opportunities - on their own terms!
DigiPippi is based on pedagogical and educational principles that pay tribute to di-versity, and which at the same time enables the girls to see themselves, as they are - Strong, resourceful and talented tech girls.

The purpose of the association is to offer girls between the ages of 7 and 13 a digital platform and activities whose primary purpose is to create interest and convey knowledge about technology, IT and the digital media (hereinafter TID) by means of volunteer female role models.

the secondary data research together with the primary data research showed us that girls would like to join the digipippi events, if their friends would join as well. not only that, but our secondary  data research also showed that girls at that age lose interest quick. Hence, since the time span between the events and workshop  is too long, our focus was to create a concept that would keep the young girls interacting with digipippi.
"techtown" acts as a secret club that members of digipippi can access through a code they get at different events and workshops. that code can be shared with friends, that can be introduced to digipippi as well.
techtown is divided in two parts, the old town part is a set of gamification features that helps the girls to play different games, based on the events they attended to, in order to not forget what they learned.
the second part of the city looks the same for everyone, so it serves as a community area where the girls can see other members online and they can learn different things about technology or related info.
one of the strongest features, is a physical feature connected to the digital platform, which is that of earning badges for different tasks. these badges can then be 3d printed at digipippi's headquarters. this action serves as a motivational trigger for girls to participate at as many events as possible.

our concept aims to create and develop a community of young girls that love technology, a community that they build themselves in time based on their own preferences.
we believe this will bring more little girls interested in the fields and it will generate more awareness .
digipippi will finally have another platform where they can engage with the users and analyze behaviors in order to improve future events, but also the overall experience through interaction and personalization.
